QUARRY Sabin’s Pasture 2006-07
Montpelier, Vermont

A site-specific work in an abandoned slate quarry in Montpelier, VT. After the land around the quarry was clearcut, the quarry itself provided a place to explore the elemental sources of language. The performance featured sounding and writing and slate chimes, and took place early in the morning, as the quarry filled with light.
