BORIE St Martin de Castillon 2011-12

The dry-stone shelters of southern France became an opportunity to inquire into the pronoun on. Both constructions are singular and anonymous, both provide space for one person. To acknowledge this space, the borie was lined-- a task suited to my occupation as poet-- with found materials, especially gleaned wool. The opening took place in May 2012, and visitors were invited to sign the guest book-- the Livre d'on.
